Hello, I'm Caden Quinn. I'm from Overland Park Kansas. I'm going to be a senior this year and I'm a member of my schools chorale and chamber choir. I love to sing, play piano, play sports, and get to know people. It's my first year at SCI so I look forward to meeting you all.

Hi! My name is Jayna Walter, and I’m from Wichita, Kansas. I will be a junior this next school year, and I go to East High in Wichita. I’ve been singing since middle school, and want to be an opera singer when I graduate college. Outside of singing, I love Pilates and reading.

My name is Denarius Leslie, and I am 15 years old. This fall, I will enter my sophomore year at Somerset College Preparatory Academy in Port St. Lucie, Florida. As a student at Somerset, a 6-12 charter school, I have been an active member of the choir throughout my tenure.

Within the school community, I participate in a diverse array of clubs, including student council and National Honor Societies. Additionally, I am concurrently enrolled in college courses, studying surgical services and criminal justice.

My time at Somerset has afforded me numerous opportunities for choral-related travel. I initially began as a soprano 1, but later transitioned to tenor within the same year. I am now capable of singing a range from soprano 1 to bass 2. Notably, our choir was invited to perform at the London International Choral Festival this past December, as well as to march in the New Year’s parade.

Singing is one of my foremost passions and hobbies, alongside playing volleyball and baseball. Furthermore, I serve as the junior president of my mother’s non-profit organization, which collaborates with the Department of Juvenile Justice.

As an only child, I find joy in a variety of activities, including traveling, shopping, attending church, and engaging in school. Looking ahead, I aspire to pursue both MD and JD degrees, with the ambition of becoming a neurosurgeon and a banking attorney.

This marks my first year participating in SCI, and I am eager to embark on this journey with all of you. I look forward to meeting everyone soon!

Hi! I’m Sadie Green, and I’m going to be a senior at Pratt High School this fall. Pratt is a small school, but our choir program is outstanding and well-known across the state. Singing is one of my greatest passions, though I am also a dancer and have loved doing that since I was very young. I come from a very big family and have always loved spending time with them, which is why along with vocal performance, I’d like to study elementary education in college. At school I am involved in cheer, pep club, and really enjoy taking challenging AP classes. This is my first year doing SCI, and I can’t wait to see what the week brings!

Hi! I'm Isaac Henderson, a rising junior (tenor/baritone) from Kickapoo High School in Springfield, MO. I'm involved in the orchestras and choirs here and recently we got to record at Ocean Way Studios in Nashville! I like to do music composition, music theory, singing, playing the violin or piano, chess, and a little beatboxing. I love all kinds of music but have a soft spot for jazz, especially newer kinds like jazz fusion and nu jazz (my favorite artist is Jacob Collier).

Hihi, I’m Amari ! I’m 14 years old and an incoming Sophmore at Ray-Pec High School in Raymore, MO. I love acting and singing, it’s literally my whole life lol. This is my first year attending this program and I’m beyond excited to ! I recently went to NSDA Nationals as well, so Speech and Debate is another one of my big passions . Hey! My name is Paige Schmidtberger and I’m a rising Senior at Olathe East in Olathe, KS. I love to sing, dance, read, crochet, and play soccer and pickle ball. I’m very involved in my school’s choir and theatre programs.  I’ve participated in KMEA state choir the past three years and the Kansas Thespian Festival the last two years. Outside of school I’m also a member of the Kansas City A Cappella Soundproof group and StageRight Performing Art’s Vocalocity show choir. This will be my second year at SCI. Hey! My name is Hollyn and I am a rising senior! I am in the process of moving to Kansas from Washington DC because my dad is active duty army. This will be my third high school! I enjoy singing, theatre, sports, and playing guitar and piano. I will also be attending the Washington National Opera Institue later this summer. Hey guys don’t really know what to say so this will probably be quick.. my name is John Kirsch I am a 17 year old tenor from Washburn Rural in Topeka! This year I will be a senior :). Some of the things I love would be music of course, but like many guys my age, video games. I enjoy participating in many musical activities.. In the recent years I helped with my schools production of fiddler on the roof, as well as 9-5! I am extremely excited to work this music with you all and I can’t wait to make friends!

Hi, my name is Tyler Archuleta, and I'm 15. I'm a rising sophomore in Kiowa, Kansas. I love to play guitar, sing, and play the piano. This past year was my first year in the all-state choir. I also received a 1 at state for my solo. I work as a lifeguard and a cook at a pizza place during the summer. I show pigs at our county fair. I participate in football, basketball, tennis, forensics, and swim team. This will be my first year in Sci. I can't wait to meet you all!

Hey! My name is Audrey Appuhn, and I am a rising junior in Topeka, KS. I love to sing, play piano and ukulele, swim, chemistry, and paint! I love to perform classical music, as well pop. I am heavily involved in swimming as well. I am a 4x state medalist and I love to push myself to new limits. My name is Dylan Dean, and I am thrilled to be one of the counselors for SCI. I am a rising sophomore at K-State, majoring in music education and vocal performance. At K-State, I am in Concert Choir and In A Chord acapella, opera, and a little bit of theatre. I am a member of Choral Staff, Collegiate ACDA, and I am invovled with the Christian Challenge Ministry. I am from Kansas City, Missouri (which is objectively better than KC, K). My favorite choir memory is certainly when my high school choir got to perform Jake Runestad's "Proud Music of the Storm" and "Into the Light" in Carnegie Hall. I never attended SCI when I was in high school, so I am so excited to experience this for the first time with you all. Can't wait to meet you!

Hi!!! I’m Camelia Diaz and im a rising senior! I live right next to Orlando, Florida and i’m 17. I have 3 dogs and i love going to disney with my older sister. I love ABBA, Sabrina Carpenter, Conan Gray, Taylor Swift, Chappell Roan, and Olivia Rodrigo. This summer, i will be competing in National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) in the national level as a semi-finalist in the musical theater category. Hey Everyone! My name is Luke Dent! I am a 17 year old rising senior at Shawnee Mission Northwest in Shawnee KS. This will be my second year at SCI!!! I sing Tenor II in my choir's Chambers and A Capella Choirs. I've went to regional and state KMEAs the past two years and regional and state solo and ensembles! I also participate in school and local musical theater! Choir and Theater are a huge part of my life, but I am also a 2 sport varsity athlete, president of 5 organizations (3 being national honor societies), and am largely involved in my school's student council! After high school, I plan to get my Bachelors in Secondary Education, Mathematics and minor in Vocal Performance! SCI was one of the best weeks of my life last year where I learned so much and made so many new and amazing friends! I can't wait to do it all again next month!

Hi! My name is Paige Levendofsky. I’m 17, will be a senior next year at Rock Creek High School in St. George, Kansas, and this will be my third year in SCI. Some other honor choirs I’ve participated in include KMEA, SWACDA, and KCDA. I’ve always had a real love for music and want to pursue it for as long as I’m able :). I currently plan to double major in Music Education and Vocal Performance, and if you can’t tell I’m a little indecisive about teaching, but we’ll see if I change my mind in my last year of high school. My other interests include band (I play trumpet), forensics (I do informative speaking and original oration), playing guitar, and reading (murder mysteries are my absolute favorite). I’ve met a lot of different people the past couple years at this camp and am so so excited to return, it’s definitely always the highlight of my summer. Super excited to meet you guys!!

Hey! My name is Ella Wellman, and I will be one of the camp counselors for SCI and Konza! I am 19 years old and just finished my first year as a student at K-State. I’m currently majoring in communication sciences and disorders (either for speech language pathology, audiology, or vocal coaching) and minoring in gerontology, human development and family science, and vocal performance. This past year, I was able to perform in the musical “Next to Normal” at the Manhattan Arts Center, and I participated in collegiate choral as well as InAChord! Next year I will be working in the MTD office and on student choral staff as a social media manager for K-State Choirs. My favorite choir song I’ve sang in the past would have to be Atsalums by Jēkabs Jančevskis. I did SCI the year after my junior year of high school and can’t wait to be a part of it again! I have been in music for allmost all my life and have been playing instruments as well as singing. I love talking to poeple about the in depth consept of music and there own interpretations of the music that they are preforming. Hello! My name is Corbin Montenegro and I’m a rising sophomore at KSU majoring in music education. I’m originally from St. George, KS and was an SCI participant for three years. I’m a member of the Concert Choir, In-A-Chord A Cappella, Student Choral Staff, C-NAfME, Collegiate ACDA, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia at K-State. I have many favorite artists and songs, but so far my all time favorite choir song that I’ve sang has been “Lamentations of Jeremiah” by Z. Randall Stroope. A fun fact about me is that I’ve been to every one of the 105 counties in Kansas. Very excited to work with all of you this summer!!

Hi guys! I’m Lydia, and I’m a rising junior (16) from Edinburg, Texas! It’ll be my first year doing the SCI and I’m looking forward to meeting all of you :).

My main hobby is singing; I love my choir at school and the choirs I’m in outside of school as well. I also gravitate towards other “artistic recreations”, like writing, reading and drawing. Before I was a choir kid, I was originally a band kid and played oboe. They never let me march though because oboes don’t march.. but I think I enjoy these things so much simply because I love to find creative ways to express myself. Some of my favorite artists right now are Laufey, Crumb, Chappell Roan, Elliot Smith, Dayglow, wave to earth, Clairo, and the list goes on and on.

Hi! My name is Marisa! I am a rising senior from Waverly Nebraska and this is my second year doing SCI. I love to sing and SCI is an amazing opportunity to meet new people and share your love of singing! How’s it goin! My name is Colton Klecan and I am an upcoming Senior(17). I live about 10 minutes away from Kstate campus and have enjoyed being a Wildcat my whole life. This will be my first year in SCI and am so looking forward to this opportunity. This year has brought many changes to me as I chose to focus on what I love which is singing and acting instead of sports and I do not regret a thing! I took on my first year of choir and first couple musicals and loved every single minute of it. Hello, everyone! My name is Megan Zeman and this will be my 2nd year helping out with SCI. I'm a PhD student in Leadership Communication here at K-State--my dissertation is about leadership development through choir! I also graduated from KSU with my undergrad degree, and during that time I was involved in several of the choirs as well as international & national tours with the program. When I came back to get my PhD, getting involved with K-State Choirs again was a no brainer. SCI was so much fun last year, and I can't wait to meet you all for another great camp!

Hey everyone! My name is Cate and I’m a rising senior from Wichita, Kansas. I am so thrilled to be attending for the first time!

A few activities I enjoy are playing sports, speech and debate, musicals, hanging with my friends, window shopping, and playing the organ. My all time favorite TV show is Impractical Jokers, and my favorite joker is Joe (although I love them all). My favorite board game is Monopoly, but I must warn you I may flip the board if I don’t get Park Place and Board Walk! Finally, and most importantly, my favorite color is green.

Hi everyone! My name is Noah Wahlquist, I am 17, and I'm coming back for my 3rd and final year of SCI! I know a few of you from last year, and am excited to get to know the rest of you! I live in Woodbury, Minnesota so I do hold to the opinion that the game is duck duck grey duck, not duck duck goose, and that Minnesota is Superior because of Lake Superior and Paul Bunyan, but other than that I think we'll all get along.
